Interpretation: Amongst normal healthy teens, friends and families are of equal importance. A second important pass-time for teen is doing sports. Even when family relationship between teens and parents are very good, they prefer to hang out with a group of friends rather than with their families or being alone.

Interpretation: 93 out of 120 schools have reported problems with students who are lack of motivation. In a nut shell, the data can be viewed as the major problems faced by schools are lack of motivation amongst students followed by their lack of parental supervision.

Interpretation:  Family is the most important cauldron where EQ is developed. A child observes and learns from family interactions, parental emotional exchanges, and amongst siblings. The above shows how family functioning in two qualities (cohesion and adaptability) can result in different developmental outcomes. Families which are moderately flexible in house-rules and togetherness yield the best children.
